( Drum rolls.........louder.....and...LOUDER....AND.....)

TAHDAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!

I am finally posting again people!!! I saved my blog just in time. It has a few more months to live at least:) [ I'm listening to Complicated by Avril Lavigne, Kelly sent me this~ aw man. It's so nice] Let me guess, you people must be rotting at home or something like that ya? Don't worry I'm no different. But you guys should seriously brighten your lives with some LAUGHTER. :)

Before I tell you some funny stuff, let me just tell you what happened today just to make my post longer(heheh). Met up with Grace and Kelly for lunch, we nearly couldn't recognise each other in our uniforms. We were too used to the 'outing clothes' look. My contacts were itchy. We ate at a little taiwanese kiosk to eat mee sua. Goodness. The parsley totally destroy the taste of the wonderous mee sua- which ain't bee hoon kelly. Then I went to eat YAMI YOGHURT!!! All hail Yami Yoghurt! The best thing you would have ever tasted. But instead of slowly enjoying my delicious dessert, Grace and Kelly just HAD TO rush me. Yami Yoghurt gotta be enjoyed dudes! We rushed to school thinking that we were gonna be late for band. But noooooo, we were FOURTY FIVE MINUTES early. ( I slapped somebody's butt) Man! We came earlier than STEPHANIE. Then, we went to set up our instruments. I nearly forgot how to set up my saxophone. I just stoned in front of the case for a few minutes. Then Kelly walked in, then I told her that I forgot how to set up my instrument and she was like WHAT!!@! She then rubbed it in that she could not help me, cause' she didn't know how to....=_= We played alot, and I was out of breath.

Okay, back to the funny stuff. During band, YinYing told me a really funny thing that happened to her today. In the morning, her dad's client was going to come to their house. So her father was warning her to watch her language and YinYing was like yah...yah... So she went to watch youtube and she was watching a video that kept saying Jesus Christ! So she decided to say that if she wanted to swear. Then the client came. She was busy packing her room while her sister was rolling about in the roller chair. Then while YinYing was packing her room, she came across her bible and she picked it up and wanted to say Jesus Christ! But after she said Jesus, Her sister rolled over her toe and she yelled phuck. Just at that moment, the client walked past and shook his head as he made the sign of the cross. It was kinda funny. I was laughing like mad:)

Now I shall tell you a funny short abstract from the book- Notes from an even Smaller Island written by Neil Humprey. Okay let me do a little intro or else you guys would be like HUH?
Basically, Neil and his friend went to Singapore for their holidays and they were wondering which part of China Singapore was in. When they first arrived in Singapore, they were jet lagged and were really hungry. So their friend went to describe to them what a hawker centre looked like. So this is where my story begins:

Speaking to us as if we were mentally ill, David explainedthat a hawker centremis essentially a food court that contains a series of food stalls, each specialising in an Asian culinary delight. We simply go in, sit at one of the tables and wait for the person selling drinks to take our drink order. We then go to a stall, tell the hawher seller what we want and then retake our seats. Now what could be easier? At around 11p.m., two tired young Englishmen set off on their first Asian adventure.

Following David's instructions, we crossed the road and spotted alot of tables with matching chairs. People were sitting around these tables eating various dishes and talking quietly: so far so good. With a boyish eagerness, we found an empty table, sat down and waited for the drink seller to come. Time passed and we noticed that we were attracting some strange looks. I would not say that these looks were agressive but rather shocked and puzzled. I assumed it was because we were in the heart of the Toa Payoh community, one of the oldest housing estates in Singapore. It is not everyday, that two Caucasians, one standing 6 feet, 4 inches and the other just over 5 feet, walk into a hawker centre.

After about 5 minutes, the staring had intensified and the drinks seller still had not appeared. Suddenly, Scott, who is not usually known for his eloquence, exclaimed, ' Phucking Hell! There's a phucking dead body over there.'

'Where?'
'There! Phucking there. The one who is lying down and not phucking breathing.'
'Oh Shit. What are we going to do?'
' Well, I'm not phucking staying here is that's what the food does to you.'

We stood up withan indescribable sence of urgency, leaving the numerous observers open-mouthed, and fled from the scene wondering what the hell went on in this bizzare country. I mean, I have eaten at places where you pick out the fishyou want before it is cooked but this was something else. Had we inadvertently stumbled upon some satanic cannibalistic ceremony, where 'dishes' were carefully displayed and chosen? Were we to be the next course on the menu a la steamed 'ang moh'?

Of course not. We had simply walked into a funeral ceremony. If anyone who knew the deceased remembers the two crazy jet-lagged white men treating the funeral service of theis loved one like a restaurant, I could only apologise. Having spent some time in the country, I now realise that funerals are often held at the bottom of apartment blocks in an area called the void deck. Should I now pass a funeral, I nod respectfully in those in attendance. But you have to admit that those wooden tables and red chairs are remarkably similar to the ones used in hawker centres.

Okay, that was the end of the abstract- it seriously gave me a good laugh.
Back to the IMPORTANT NEWS OF THE DAY.
